Coatings are applied to improve the corrosion resistance of carbon and low alloy steels when exposed to urban, industrial or surface marine environments. Coatings can be applied in different ways. One method used mostly for studbolts is the galvanized method. A metal coating thinner than one hair protects the steel stud to corrosion. By applying electroplated galvanizing methods the life span of fasteners will last longer.
Other surface treatments we can provide are:
- PTFE(Xylar/Xylan) coatings
- Hot dipped Galvanised
There exist many different types of steel. Each steel types requires a different galvanizing methods based on corrosion or wear resistance, stiffness, thickness, adhesion, temperature, etc. For each problem we have a galvanic solution.
